Can decimated Turkish football team get past the Germans?

This comment from listentocommonsense (U12026996) member in the BBC 606 comment debate for the article ‘How can Turkey tackle their crisis?’ had me thinking. I felt that it has answers to some thoughts of mine. Taking out only what is relevant to my thoughts in the statement ‘are so disjointed in their play that the opposition can’t make head nor tail of the whole thing and actually lose the plot themselves?

One way in order to take the opposition by surprise is to baffle them, not to know where the next attack is coming from, or how a certain situation in the field is going to be tackled. So they would not have any ready-made ways to respond to any movements of the players or the flow of the game, ready-made in the sense of instructions beforehand by the coach or even a self-made manual of ways to respond that every player has built from past experience.
